[Wedding] Shaina & Max – Saint Clements Castle in Portland, CT

Max and Shaina got married on November 1st, walking into fall at exactly the right moment. The kind of couple who makes a day easy, both engineers, both kind, both completely at ease with each other and everyone around them.

They chose Saint Clements Castle in Portland, CT, and were among the first to celebrate in the venue’s newest space, The Rivers Edge. It’s a stunning room, and paired with a crisp, golden autumn afternoon, it gave us more than enough to work with.

Max and Shaina knew what they wanted going in: portraits they’d be proud to hang on a wall, and their family woven through the day just as much as the two of them. That balance shaped how we moved through the day, time set aside for real, intentional portraits, and just as much attention paid to catching their parents, siblings, and friends in the moments that weren’t posed at all.

The day was rounded out with full video coverage and our digital photo booth at the reception, so between the photos, the film, and a table full of guests grabbing instant keepsakes, there’s a lot to look back on from this one.

Honestly, the photos speak for themselves.

Max & Shaina, thank you for trusting us with your day. Congratulations again.

If you’re planning a wedding at Saint Clements Castle, or anywhere in Connecticut, and want photography that captures both the portraits you’ll treasure and the family moments you don’t want to miss, I’d love to hear about your day.
